Well, because…Go BUCKS

What can I say.  I love my Buckeyes.  I love my state, Ohio.

If you are not into college football, or have been living under a rock, we won the National Championship last year.  I am proud to say we are an amazing team (I might be biased).

I was born and raised in Ohio.

I even graduated from The Ohio State University!  I might even bleed Scarlet and Gray…(OK that might be a stretch).

I thought I would share some of the OSU projects I have been working on.  The wood signs are from reclaimed wood.

I LOVE making wreaths of ALL occasions, but these OSU wreaths have impressed even myself.  I hope you enjoy!

And just in case you decide to tune in I will give you the 2015 schedule.  YOU ARE WELCOME!

DIY Dishwasher Detergent

***I am not a photographer!  I hope to get a little better throughout this blogging process, but I apologize for the not-so-fantastic pics***

Also,  I must admit I have tried to make dishwasher detergent several times, with no success.  It has taken me about a year, to perfect this concoction here.  A lazy year that is, with each failure I got a little discouraged and did not try again for awhile.   I have tried 3 or 4 different recipes, and read several blogs.

And then finally, I read this natural recipe on one of my favorite blogs right now!

I of course tweaked the recipe a bit.  I also made a smaller batch, to make sure it worked first.

Here is my FANTASTIC Dishwasher Detergent Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup Borax
  • 1/4 cup Super Washing Soda
  • 1 tbsp. Kosher Salt
  • T tbsp. Lemi-Shine

~Combine all ingredients in Recycled container with sealable lid (I used a pickle jar)

~Use a heaping tbsp. at time of wash, then 3 small drops of dawn on top (SMALL DROPS)

~Add 1/2 to 1 cup Vinegar in bottom as rinsing agent

  • My dishes are even more clean than using commercial detergents!
  • I am saving money
  • The Lemi-Shine gives it a nice clean smell
  • Feel free to ask questions or leave tips/tricks
